README.TXT CC-SURVeyor 2.00 Shareware Version January 1, 1988 CC-SURVeyor is a COGO program for civil engineers and land surveyors, that interfaces with Generic CADD by transferring batch files both ways. It allows points, point numbers and lines to be created from maps of record or legal descriptions, so that Generic CADD could quickly load the boundary, allowing the civil designer to get started with building layout or lot layout within CADD. It includes traverse, inverse, sideshot, bearing and distance intersection routines, area, inscribe curve, rotate/translate/scale, lot summary, radial stakeout, predetermined area, and perpendicular and parallel offsets. A set of topo utilities allows reduction of field notes for EDM or total station topo, with transfer of points, numbers, elevations and descriptions to Generic CADD. This shareware version is complete in every way, except that point numbers are limited to 1 thru 99. The manual on the diskette is complete and accurate with that one exception. The files distributed in this version are otherwise identical to the registered version. You are free to use, copy and distribute this program, as long as copies contain all the files herein, and no more than a $6 diskcopy fee is charged. If you like CC-SURVeyor and wish to register it, a $75 contribution will entitle you to: 1. A new diskette with the latest version, including 999 point storage capacity and excluding the shareware entrance screen. 2. Full support by mail. 3. Subscription to CCNEWS, an electronic bulletin board newsletter with the latest news of civil engineering and surveying shareware and public domain software, including news of CC-SURVeyor upgrades. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND INSTALLATION This program was developed and compiled with QuickBASIC, version 3.0 and should be compatible with any IBM PC compatible using MS-DOS 2.11 or later. An 8087 coprocessor is not required. To install CC-SURVeyor, simply copy the *.EXE files (CC-SURV.EXE, CC-TOPO.EXE, BRUN30.EXE) onto the diskette or hard disk subdirectory of your choice. Type "CC-SURV" to start it. Neither CC-TOPO nor BRUN30 are intended to be run alone. CC-TOPO is an overlay for the Topo submenu, and BRUN30 is the MicroSoft run time module that must be present to run programs compiled with QuickBASIC 3.0. If you already have BRUN30 on your hard disk, you don't have to install it again as long as it is in the current PATH when CC-SURVeyor is run.
